Yoruba Heritage and Language School, Saskatoon

The Team

The birth of the then known Yoruba Language School came into existence through the studious efforts of the tribes early settlers in Saskatoon: Dr. Dele Akinbolue; Dr Akin Peluola, Dr Olajide Adelugba and Mr Bayo Bakare  in 2004; with sole mission of providing a platform for language retention, learning and transmission of the language to the then young adults of the community.

The vast changing environment, explosion in the Yoruba community race in Saskatoon brings about a re-evaluation of the school mission and the birth of a more comprehensive school. Thus,  in October 8th, 2019, the school’s vision and name was changed to “Yoruba Heritage And Language School, Inc. This new vision platform will enables our children and adults on learning how to speak the beautiful language; the tact and acts involved in various aspect of the Yoruba cultures and traditions. What a great opportunity!
